Peggy's Cove

Pier 21 National Historic Site

This exhibition hall was an interpretive center in Canada's last immigration shed.  This building first received immigrants starting in 1928 and closed its doors for good in 1971.  It is estimated that it will take up to 4 years to locate all the passengers through the city and enter them into the database.  Many people visit annually to research part of their roots.  The exhibition offers a virtual train ride and first hand accounts of their immigration experience. Click here for more information.

Wander the waterfront
The shops, restaurants and sights along the Halifax waterfront are a must-see. Just exit the hotel along Spring Garden Road and then head down the hill. The Discovery Center

Museum of Natural History
